Here’s a general application guide based on manufacturer instructions:

 

  1. After Cleansing & ConditioningUse your regular cleansing and conditioning steps. Use the Natural Textures Leave-In Conditioner first. 
  2. Detangle & Section HairDivide hair into manageable sections.
  3. Apply Twist & Define CreamWork small sections at a time. Apply from root to ends. If hair begins to dry before finishing, mist lightly with water to maintain slip. 
  4. Twist HairTwist as desired. For tight definition, twist while hair is soaking wet; for more fullness or elongation, twist while damp. 
  5. DryAir-dry is recommended. If needed, use a low/warm hooded dryer. 
  6. Untwist / Separate (for Twist-Out)Only untwist once hair is completely dry, then gently separate for desired volume. 
  7. Shingling OptionYou may also use it in a shingling method: apply on soaking wet, detangled hair section by section, then comb through with a wide-tooth comb, then dry completely before fluffing.
