Why Choose This Product?

  • It offers a balance between conditioning and styling — because it’s an “infusion oil,” it doesn’t just coat hair but aims to nourish and refine.
  • For straight and wavy hair, heavy oils or greases can flatten or weigh hair down; this oil is designed to avoid that.
  • Its lightweight formula and free-of-mineral-oil/silicone attributes make it more suitable for everyday styling without excessive buildup.
  • It can be used as a finishing / topmost layer, complementing other moisturization or leave-ins in one’s haircare routine.
  • From brand perspective, DOO GRO has expanded into these infusion lines to address modern preferences for lighter, more breathable styling products.
Abyssinian Oil

Here’s a suggested application method and tips:

  1. Start with clean hairAfter washing or refreshing hair (damp or nearly dry).
  2. Dispense a small amountDepending on hair length / thickness, start with a few drops to a dime/penny size in palm.
  3. Warm & spreadRub between palms to thin it out & help even distribution.
  4. Apply through hairWork the oil through mid-lengths and ends first. Then lightly smooth over top layers and flyaways.Use a wide-tooth comb to help distribute evenly if needed.
  5. Use on dry hairYou can apply a small amount to dry hair later on in the day for shine / frizz control.
  6. Do not rinse outLeave it in as a finishing oil / styling layer.
  7. Avoid overuseBecause it's an oil, using too much may cause greasy appearance or buildup, especially near scalp.
  8. Wash out buildup periodicallyUse a clarifying shampoo when you notice heavy residue or dullness.

User Feedback & Considerations

  • Some users report buildup and strong odor when using oils in heavy amounts. > > “I stopped using because of too much buildup and the strong odor.”
  • It appears that this oil may be more effective when used sparingly, especially on finer or more delicate hair types.
  • Because of its flammability, any residual oil build‑up can increase risk near heat sources — always be cautious with flat irons, blow dryers, and open flames.
